Insurance & Claims
We’re Here for You — Not the Insurance Company
After an accident, navigating the insurance process can feel overwhelming. At Snelson Collision Repair, our job is to make the repair process easier and to look out for your best interests every step of the way.
While we work with all insurance companies, our priority is restoring your vehicle safely and correctly — not cutting corners to meet insurance cost targets.
You Have the Right to Choose Your Repair Shop
Many insurance companies may recommend or steer you toward a preferred repair facility. That choice is always yours.
You are not required to use the shop your insurance company recommends.
You have the legal right to select the collision repair facility you trust — and we’re here to help you make that decision confidently.
How the Insurance Process Works
Every repair is different, but the process typically follows these steps:
Initial Estimate
An estimate is written based on visible damage. This is a starting point, not a final repair cost.
Insurance Review
Your insurance company reviews the estimate and may approve or adjust it.
Repair & Discovery
Once repairs begin, additional hidden damage may be discovered.
Supplements (If Needed)
Any additional damage found is documented and submitted to your insurance company for approval.
Final Repair & Delivery
Repairs are completed to proper standards, and your vehicle is returned to you.
We handle communication with insurance adjusters and keep you informed throughout the process.
Estimates vs. Final Repair Costs
It’s important to understand that an estimate is not a final invoice.
Modern vehicles are complex, and hidden damage is common after a collision. If additional repairs are required to restore your vehicle properly, we will document everything and work with your insurance company to obtain approval before proceeding.
Parts, Repairs & Quality Standards
Insurance policies may specify the type of replacement parts allowed, including OEM, aftermarket, or recycled parts. We will review these options with you and explain how they may impact your repair.
Our technicians follow proper repair procedures and use modern equipment to restore your vehicle as safely and accurately as possible. We do not compromise on workmanship or safety.
